Flirty Girl #MOTD featuring NYX & Wet N Wild

My makeup of the day (#MOTD) was a bit flirty and oh so easy to create. It was one of the simplest looks I’ve ever done but somehow is still a head turner, lol.  I had so much fun taking pictures of this look (& I took a million). Keep reading for all the details.

So, I first applied primer to my entire face. I followed that with my BB cream using a dry Ulta blending sponge. After that was set I started on my brows. For some reason, my brows took the most time today but the process doesn’t have to be perfect for the result to be. To clean up the lines I used a lip brush to trace concealer above and underneath my brows.

Once I blended the concealer I dabbed a little bit of the black eyeshadow base onto the area I would use the most shadow. I wrote a review about this base and again I have to say it is AMAZING! I applied about 3 layers of eyeshadow and the smokey eye effect was on point. I mean seriously, if you are in a rush to get ready one night and you want a smokey eye, use this base and you only need to pick one eyeshadow color to complete the look.

I put some scotch tape on the side of my eye and worked on my wing. I love using felt tip liners because I feel they allow me to have the most control. I wiggled mascara on my top and bottom lashes and the eyes were done.

Lips were simple. Although, I should have used a lip liner to darken and help fill in areas that needed color. I say that because the soft matte cream formula…how can I describe this…It doesn’t spread the color evenly. So some areas are lighter than others. I kept packing on more product to try and darken the lighter areas. I even tried dabbing setting powder on my lips first to soak up moisture but it just wasn’t working for me. I will have to find a solution and get back to you.

Lastly, I completed my entire look with a bit of contouring and highlighting. I contoured my cheeks, forehead, around my temples, and under the sides of my face. I used a mini blending sponge to dab the highlight along the high points of my cheek and on my nose. Keep in mind you don’t have to go all out when you decide to contour and highlight. I definitely didn’t.
